The new AMSSXP® Web Services –
Security Guidance Center offers the most up-to-date and comprehensive step-by-step security
guidance documentation, bulletins, tools, utilities, whitepapers and case
studies available.
The recently deployed AMSSXP® Web Services – XML
Feed Viewer offers
real-time feeds from industry leading Information Technologies companies
including Apple Computer, Inc., Cisco Systems, Inc. and Microsoft
Corporation. Fully customizable, this
browser based XML viewer was designed to be compatible with the RSS 1.0
specification standard.
Obtaining technical support could never be
easier. AMSSXP® Remote Support
Services allows you to
request “interactive” technical support. This service requires that you have a
working broadband Internet connection.
Watch and learn, whilst a technical support technician diagnoses your
problems and deploys the solution.
The AMSSKB® SharePoint Knowledge Base Collaboration Project is a web based "Knowledge Management" portal that enables
you to submit, share, query or discuss a myriad of Information Technologies
related content.
The Virtual Earth Map Control (AMSSVE® Release Candidate 1) provides hi-resolution satellite images of any location on Earth.
This control provides "road map", as well as "aerial"
views, zoom (in/out), and directional panning.
Active Directory® system administrators will
appreciate our LDAP-ADSI scripting tool which has been incorporated as an
authorized client application.

AMSSXP® Web
Services Client - Version 2.0 (the Formal Product Release) is available
for download.
Latest features
incorporated with this release include:
Fully
integrated online help facility accessible via “HELP” button from the AMSSXP® Web
Services Main Browser or AMSSXP® Tool Box. Online help is displayed using the web
services “light browser” by default, but can also be accessed using any
browser. The product help facility
(online) can be accessed via hyperlink; A. M. Software Services, Inc. primary
web site’s home page: http://www.amsoftwareservices.net.
Several
enhancements were implemented as identified during the final release
candidate’s quality assurance testing phase.
The AMSSXP® Host IP Configuration application has been upgraded with DHCP release
and renew functionality, and can be launched from within the web services
client software.
AMSSXP® Terminal Services Advanced Client
(TSAC)
has been integrated into the AMSSXP® Web
Services Client,
to support seamless Windows XP Remote
Desktop or Terminal Services
session connections.
Microsoft’s Security Readiness Kit is available as an XML Web Service, and has
been integrated into the AMSSXP® Web
Services Client. Keep on top of your security! Access the latest Microsoft Security
Bulletins and Patches instantly for all Microsoft supported Windows operating
systems; patch management has never been easier! This web service is available exclusively to registered Web
Services Domain members.
AMSSXP®-IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) is available to registered domain members and
supports printing via Terminal Services session, VPN connection, or right over
the Internet via a browser.
Internet printing is easily accessible from within the web services
client.
Server-side
development for supported Web Services continues. Initial releases of the supported Web Services component
will feature companies such as Factiva, a Dow
Jones owned online research service, Amazon.com and
online payment services from eBay’s
PayPal. More
supported web services will become available in the future as more companies
adopt the web services technology that’s been fully integrated into Microsoft’s
Office System 2003 and Windows Server 2003 Family platforms.

(Final Release Candidate)
AMSSXP® Web
Services Client - Version 1.3 (release candidate) is available for
download. This is the final
“in-development” version available prior to the formal product release of the client
software. Server-side development
continues in earnest, and we shall keep you informed of the latest developments
and delivery schedules for supported web services.

We’ve introduced five (5) new AMSSXP® Networking Services Tools: AMSSXP® Host IP
Configuration,
AMSSXP® Host IP Routing Table, AMSSXP® Bandwidth Monitor,
AMSSXP® FTP Client and AMSSXP® Networking
Services Suite - Version 1.0. Our goals are not only
to provide web services support, but also to develop easy to use network
monitoring and troubleshooting tools to supplement those web services. Each incremental update or release of
the web services client will also include new networking utilities to add to
your TCP/IP toolbox! These
applications employ many Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 APIs. Should you encounter “runtime” errors
due to improperly registered or missing DLLs, there is a full version available
that includes all of the operating system(s) APIs.
We’ve also integrated the control of several AMSSXP® Services applications into the web services client UI to simplify task deployment and execution.

Services Client - Version 1.1 has been released for testing, and is
available for download.

AMSSXP® Tool Box - a small lightweight launching pad for accessibility to all available
web services, with a "full screen" toggle.
AMSSXP® QuikMail®
(Client) - the fast and
easy way to send Email while you are busy at work, at home, or on the road.
AMSSXP® Web
Services Chat Connection (Client and Server) - capable of listening on several TCP ports while supporting an
unlimited number of incoming connections.
Automatic client registration via SMTP and AMSS.NET Domain Account
status query using Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) and LDAP.
Integrated directory browsing and file search capabilities. UNC can be used to locate shared
network resources.
Streamlined Internet browsing that preserves and imports your existing
privacy settings and security preferences.
Integrated Network Resource Monitoring allows you to monitor any host
on your LAN or private network.
Virtual Private Networking allows domain members to "pool"
resources and share files and folders. The distributed file system allows
folders to be shared via a common "root". The actual
physical location of resources is never revealed.
The AMSSXP® VPN
Connection Manager (included)
handles all outgoing connections seamlessly and without any manual
configuration settings.
State-of-the-Art communication security, designed and “built-in”
throughout the development cycle. These include L2TP (layer 2 tunneling
protocol) by default, IPSec (Internet Protocol Security), IAS (Internet
Authentication Services) standard using RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In
User Service), 128 bit encryption algorithms and session logging. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) via HTTPS and
Certificate Services provided by AMSSCA Certificate Authority are used to
identify domain members and strongly encrypt network traffic.
Release
Candidate Version 1.1 represents a secure networking infrastructure, a
prerequisite for delivering valuable Web Services. Your input and recommendations for developing a superior
product, are not only desired, but are anticipated!
